A great critique group is the holy grail for many a writer. Highly desired, hotly pursued, and fiendishly difficult to find, the best of them provide accountability, motivation, and constructive criticism. They’re also a first line of defense against plot holes and inconsistencies. Creating and sustaining this ideal collaboration, however, requires work and, perhaps, a bit of luck as well.
